The Sultan of Kelantan’s Birthday, celebrated annually on September 29, is a significant event for the people of Kelantan.
This day is officially designated to commemorate the birthday of the Sultan of Kelantan, who serves as both the ruler and religious leader of the state.
The Sultan of Kelantan plays a vital role in the lives of Kelantanese, not only as a governing figure but also in upholding Malay and Islamic traditions and customs.
The current ruler, Sultan Muhammad V, ascended the throne in 2010. He previously held the position of Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia from 2016 to 2019.
